This is the section where you usually read about "handmade 19th century craftsmanship" and how "we care about the environment". Listen! When oil corporations are advertising how they're producing "green and clean" gasoline, the newspeak is deafening.

Let me give it to you straight. I love God and all he has made. I want my posterity to enjoy this world as well. Suffice to say, faithful stewardship is important to us. Anyway, here is our sincere statement for you conscientious souls who would like to know.

We know wood and we know how to work with wood. Over the years we've planted far more trees than we plan to harvest. When we do cut a tree, it is selected in relation to other trees. We strive to maintain a balanced wood lot with a healthy canopy. Thankfully, in the rustic style the whole tree is incorporated into our work - trunk, branches, twigs, bark, fruit, seed, and even roots are used. Any leftovers are used as firewood or returned to the forest floor as mulch. All the material is properly dried and stored indoors awaiting the appropriate project.

While traditional methods of joinery and general woodworking are used, we also adopt new tooling and technology. Power tools, biscuit joinery, modern glues, and water-based finishes, are some of the benefits ancient masters would have embraced if they had them available.

Most rustic furniture today is being built merely for novelty or natural effect. Nothing is constructed at our shop that isn't fit to fully function as furniture - objects useful for the home! Our furniture is built under the highest quality standards. We build assuming angelic beings observe our every step. The pieces we produce are built for daily utility and will continue to give their owners useful service for generations to come.
